BRITISH DESIGNERS
FRANK is the creative partnership of Pam West and Matt Edmonds. Their London based design studio was established in 2001 after studying furniture and related product design together at Buckinghamshire College.
Frank’s approach can be defined simply as a way of thinking, allowing them the dexterity to work across various fields of design which they have done for both companies and institutions internationally.
They draw inspiration from heavy industry, infrastructures and the spaces between places and things.
While conceptual and theoretical research is of huge importance to their practice the pair also employ a rigorous pragmatism to their work. With Edmonds’ engineering bias in combination with West’s tenacity of thought Frank produce products of pared down complexity with character all within the framework of marrying materials to industrial processes.
